Dr. Palmeri has over fifteen years of experience in orthopaedic surgery. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Miami, he obtained his Medical Doctor Degree at the University of Miami in 1983. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center with special emphasis and training in sports medicine. In 1987, Dr. Palmeri was honored by the American Arthroscopy Association for his outstanding achievements in orthopaedic surgery. He was instrumental in the development of arthroscopic techniques to repair meniscus knee cartilage with a new absorbable anchor.
In 1994, Dr. Palmeri was Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a Fellow of The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Diplomat of The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also a member of the Florida Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Palmeri is the author of numerous scientific publications, has presented numerous papers at National Orthopaedic Society meetings, and is listed in Who’s Who.
Dr. Palmeri enjoys the practice of Orthopaedic Surgery and wants his patients to be well informed about all the options that are available to them.
